Paris Motor Show gives an outlook on upcoming models from OMODA | JAECOO for Austria

(Paris, 12. October 2026). At the Paris Motor Show 2026, OMODA | JAECOO is presenting two key model innovations. The facelift of the C-SUV OMODA 5 is celebrating its European premiere. The new OMODA 4 is making its major European trade fair debut after its first European appearance in Barcelona. Both models are being shown in Paris as full hybrids and will come to Austria in 2027 with both hybrid and fully electric drive. Also the Plug-in-Hybrid OMODA 7 is being presented at the trade fair, which is now available in Austria from 41.990 euros.
With the OMODA 4, the brand is presenting a new compact crossover that is intended to appeal in particular to a young, design- and tech-savvy target group. The first preview was already available at the end of August in Barcelona, where the car model was for the first time on European roads and was presented at a fan event as a part of the VALORANT Champions Tour EMEA final, an international e-sports tournament series. The major European trade fair premiere now follows in Paris. The design language, described by OMODA | JAECOO as „CYBER MECHA“, with striking body lines and futuristic light signatures, deliberately incorporates elements from the gaming world. The AI-powered cockpit and gaming features also match the collaboration with the E-Sports series.
With a length of around 4,42 meters and a wheelbase of 2,70 meters, OMODA 4 offers compact dimensions with large interior space conditions. The hybrid version, shown in Paris, combines a 1,5-liter gasoline engine with an electric motor and achieves a system output of 165 kW (224 hp). The combined consumption is around 5,2 liters per 100 kilometers, and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 8,1 seconds. The fully electric variant has an electric motor with 160 kW, a battery with up to 67 kWh and a WLTP range of up to 465 kilometers. The both drive variants will be launched in Austria in 2027.
The technical data mentioned is based on preliminary specifications and is subject to change until the market launch in Austria.
OMODA 5 Facelift: revised design and modern cockpit
In addition to the OMODA 4, the revised OMODA 5 is also celebrating its European premiere at the Paris Motor Show. The facelift includes a significantly modified front end with narrow headlights, newly designed body lines, and a distinctive, continuous backlight signature. The interior has also been fundamentally redesigned. Particularly striking is the new 15,6-inch central display which, together with the newly designed dashboard and revised center console, creates a modern appearance. In addition, there is a 540° panoramic camera, extensive driver assistance systems and additional comfort functions.

The OMODA 5 facelift is being shown in Paris as a full hybrid. Battery variants are planned for the electric version with 50,6 kWh or 60,9 kWh and a WLTP range of up to 430 kilometers. The electric motor produces 155 kW and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7,2 seconds. In the larger battery variant, the maximum DC charging power is 130 kW, which allows the battery to be charged from 30 to 80 percent in around 28 minutes under corresponding conditions. „With the OMODA 4 and the new OMODA 5, we are seeing two car models now in Paris that will expand our offering in Austria in the coming year“, says Lars Pauly, CEO of Colmobil GmbH, the official importer of OMODA | JAECOO in Austria. „The OMODA 4 brings an independent design language and thus appeals to new target groups. At the same time, we are further developing an already established model series with the redesigned OMODA 5. The fact that both models will be available with both hybrid and electric drive in the future significantly expands the selection for our customers.“
The technical data mentioned is based on preliminary specifications and is subject to change until the market launch in Austria.
OMODA 7 PHEV: market launch in Austria as of now
With the OMODA 7 PHEV, the brand is also showing in Paris a SUV, which is now available in Austria. The 4,66-meter-long car model combines a plug-in hybrid drive with a large interior space offer and extensive configurations. The system power is 205 kW, the maximum system torque is 365 Nm. The OMODA 7 PHEV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8,4 seconds. The 18,4 kWh LFP-battery enables a purely electric WLTP range of up to 90 kilometers, with a total range of up to 1.100 kilometers. The weighted combined fuel consumption is 2,3 liters per 100 kilometers, and CO₂ emissions are 53 grams per kilometer. Charging is done with up to 6,6 kW AC or 40 kW DC. At a corresponding fast charging station, the battery can be charged from 30 to 80 percent in around 20 minutes.
The OMODA 7 PHEV is offered in Austria in the Comfort and Premium configuration lines. The Comfort version already features, among other things, 20-inch light alloy wheels, a 15,6-inch central display, a head-up display, a SONY sound system with eight speakers and an electric panoramic glass roof. The Premium configuration complements as well a massage function for the driver and front passenger seats.
