(Vienna, August 4, 2025). In the fourth quarter of 2025, the world's fastest-growing automotive brands, OMODA | JAECOO, will launch in Austria. The first vehicles were already in Vienna last week for internal training. Employees of the new vehicle importer had the opportunity to thoroughly test the OMODA 5 and the JAECOO 7. The Austrian headquarters are located in Vienna. Simultaneously, a nationwide sales and service network is currently being established. This includes the selection of strategic retail partners throughout Austria, who will be supported by a dedicated team of experienced local automotive experts.
In Austria, the JAECOO brand will launch first, followed shortly after by OMODA. JAECOO was specifically developed for urban explorers and combines first-class off-road capabilities with luxury-inspired design and state-of-the-art technology.
The JAECOO 7 PHEV SHS impresses with advanced safety features, high comfort, and an impressive total range of over 1,200 km per tank – thanks to the brand's proprietary, highly developed SHS (Super Hybrid System). The JAECOO 7 PHEV with SHS technology offers a standout hybrid driving experience in its class: it combines a purely electric WLTP range of 90 km with efficient hybrid operation for a total range of up to 1,200 km. Developed on the company's third-generation hybrid platform, this system is among the most advanced plug-in hybrid systems on the market today.
Fastest growing brands in 2025
OMODA | JAECOO are now among the world's fastest-growing automotive brands in terms of sales. The number of global users has increased tenfold in just two years – from 50,000 in April 2023 to over 500,000 in April 2025. In highly regulated markets, sales grew by 165%, while sales of NEVs (New Energy Vehicles) surged by 370% within a single year. At the same time, the brands have significantly expanded their global presence: from 21 markets in 2023 to 41 markets in 2025, including successful market entries in 23 major automotive markets. These include eight countries with annual sales exceeding one million vehicles and 15 markets with more than 200,000 units. Parent company Chery Auto, one of China's leading automakers and largest vehicle exporter, is further strengthening its global influence with this strategic expansion into Europe. With over 15 million vehicles sold in more than 80 countries and regions, Chery is consolidating its position as a key player in the international automotive market.
