Colmobil takes over import of the vehicles
(Vienna, July 22, 2026). The internationally oriented automotive brand iCAUR will soon launch in Austria. Colmobil, based in Vienna/Schwechat, will act as the official importer, handling sales, service, marketing, and public relations, while simultaneously working on establishing a dealer and service network.
iCAUR is a brand of the Chinese automaker Chery Automobile and positions itself as a design-oriented premium brand for electrified mobility. Guided by the motto "Classic Never Fades," iCAUR combines a timeless, boxy design with intelligent drive technology and high-quality interior concepts. The focus is on urban mobility as well as leisure and outdoor activities. "iCAUR brings a distinctive profile to our brand portfolio," says Lars Pauly, CEO of Colmobil GmbH. "Austria and iCAUR are a perfect match: The vehicles are just as at home off-road as they are on the road. iCAUR models combine high performance and long range with a sustainable drive concept. This makes them ideal for the diverse mobility needs of the Austrian market."
New global premium brand
iCAUR was launched in 2023 as a pure new energy brand. Its focus is on a classic boxy design, high-quality interiors, digital operating concepts, and versatile vehicles for everyday urban life as well as leisure activities. iCAUR thus positions itself not solely on technical specifications or drive systems, but on a clearly recognizable brand identity, individualization options, and high practical utility.
This approach has already garnered widespread international recognition. The compact, all-electric iCAUR V23 is now available in more than 20 markets and has achieved strong market positions in several countries. In Thailand, it was identified as the leading boxy SUV and is among the top five BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) models. In Malaysia, it is among the top three BEV models, and in South Africa, it is listed as the leading premium BEV. In Indonesia, iCAUR was also recognized for the most popular vehicle launch and as the most popular new car brand. In 2026, the model received the prestigious Red Dot Award (Design Concept 2026). This internationally awarded design prize recognizes particularly compelling design concepts and underscores the model's distinctive design language. Now, the brand is turning its attention to Europe. Austria is taking a pioneering role and will be the first European market, serving as the starting point for further expansion. Market entries in the Czech Republic, Spain, the UK, and Germany are planned to follow.
V27 as the first model for Austria
The iCAUR V27 is making its debut on the Austrian market. This flagship model, measuring around five meters in length, combines a classic, angular SUV design with a range-extender drive system. The vehicle is primarily driven electrically, while a combustion engine generates electricity when needed, thus extending the overall range. The V27 is available with either front-wheel or all-wheel drive. Depending on the version, it delivers either 185 or 335 kW of power, with battery capacities of 20.4 or 34.3 kWh. Eight driving modes (Eco, Normal, Sport, Individual, Mud, Snow, Sand, and Gravel) allow for adaptation to varying road, weather, and terrain conditions. Additional features include a ground clearance of 224 mm, a wading depth of up to 600 mm, and a crawler function. For customized use, the vehicle offers 39 pre-installed interfaces and mounting points for accessories and upgrades. An external power supply of up to 6 kW also supports electrical devices during leisure and outdoor activities. The boot capacity is 715 liters with the rear seats upright and up to 1,818 liters with the rear seats folded down. Announced technology and comfort features include a 15.4-inch central display, a 15-speaker sound system, and 21 driver assistance functions.
The first vehicles are expected to arrive in Austria this fall. The iCAUR V23 and other models will follow at a later date.
